Yet another little drawing of Sofia, cute geeky hacker girl from Santa Fe. This would be a more in character Sofia than my previous illustrations of her - huge glasses, funny gloves and all. This was a present for a friend, so I had to rush it and couldn´t do a nice background like I wanted to. Ah well. (2003)

That's really nice! I love the use of the grays and blacks.

"Shades of the dead! have I not heard your voices
Rise on the night-rolling breath of the gale?"
The background you do use though looks good and places more empasis upon the subject than maybe something else would, great job too.
I concur with n5corp, the framing of the character is very effective with the minimal background, and the fact that she is not actually bound by the frame really allows your eyes to focus on the important details. And her glasses are just too cute. * *
Wow! I love the geeky gals... kinda remind me of me... oh maybe that's just my ego... I'd love her hair though, and how come real people don't look good in round glasses? Bah. Anyway, I think a simple background is effective, it brings the main drawing forward.

She's lovely.
Your style is faboo! :)
The rainy background works with the picture. Heh.. I love her funny little gloves. Somehow they remind of ones Spike wears in some Bebop episodes. ;)
ah, your leather inking/shading is awesome, Mon.
I lust for it soo...
As always, very lovely. What type of ink do you use and is that prismacolor markers? I'm always curious what type of ink people use.
